KES Counselors

Anchor 1
  • Mrs. McClenny is the full time counselor at KES. This is her 7th year at Kennedy. She is married and has two sons who keep her on her toes. She enjoys photography, cooking and reading. She has two dogs and four cats.  She loves working with the students and families at Kennedy. 

 

  • Mrs. Harris is the part time counselor at Kennedy. She is married with four children. Her daughter, Rachel, has graduated from college in Colorado and plans to travel the country. Henry attends Georgia Tech, David the University of Georgia, and Mark just started his college career. She loves to run, read, and watch TV. Mrs. Harris also has a dog named Dixie, and a bunch of chickens. She is at Kennedy every Wednesday, Thursday and every other Friday.

  • School counselors are certified educators who are specifically trained to address the academic, personal/social and career development needs of their students.
 
  • School counselors are in schools to help students with anything that does not allow the student to be successful in school.
 
  • School counselors provide classroom guidance lessons, individual counseling, and small group counseling.
 
  • School counselors are specifically skilled in providing directly and indirect support, while maintaining ethical standards including honoring confidentiality.
